Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I get more info before buying?
Please read the Home Page, look at Screen Shots and watch Video Tutorials. Then try our fully functional free demo called DivideToDo Lite. If you still have questions please email us at info@DivideToDo.com.
Your App does not start, it opens and immediately closes!
Fortunately it’s very easy to fix: follow Apple’s instructions to Restart iPhone and try again.

Try restarting iPhone. To turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
This is a bug in iPhone OS (not Divide ToDo) and happens with all 3rd party applications. Hopefully Apple will fix it soon.
I want you to add a new feature!
Please send us email to feedback@DivideToDo.com. We will be adding the most requested features.
Can I Divide the same ToDo more than once?
No. For now just create independent stacks. We are tracking this feature on our Upcoming Features List as “Parallel sub-tasks” but we will implement more basic features first.
How do I delete unwanted/misspelled Tags?
To get rid of unwanted Tag simply make sure that this Tag is not assigned to any active or archived ToDo. Divide ToDo purges unused tags every time you start it.
How do I keep Tags from disappearing after a while?
Here is how you can keep Tags alive: as long as Tag is referenced by at least one active or archived ToDo it will not disappear. Simply keep your archived ToDos in Archive for a while and they will keep your most commonly used Tags alive.
The App does not match the screenshots!
iTunes description and this Web site represent the latest released version of Divide ToDo. After we release new version to Apple they review it for several days. During this time there will be a mismatch.
What will happen with my data if my iPhone is damaged or lost?
As long as you regularly connect your iPhone to iTunes and Back it up (iTunes does it automatically on sync) you’ll be able to completely restore all your data for all application to the exact same state as it was before last backup. We’ve tested it twice on our own live data and it works fine.
What’s the story with Desktop Sync?
We have some amazing plans for desktop syncing (and it will be cross-platform), but more basic functionality needs to be done first. Short term solution will be "send by email". Meantime we’ve realized that this feature means many different things to different people. Please email us and describe why it’s important to you and how you want to use it.
When will you implement feature X?
Because we are quality-driven and not date-driven we cannot comment on release dates.
What is “Horizon”?
Due date defines when ToDo is due. Horizon specifies how many days in advance to show this ToDo in "Overdue, Today, On Horizon" group. Once ToDo shows up on Horizon it does appear in two places: the "Overdue, Today, On Horizon" group and in group specific to it's Tag. The default Horizon (if you leave it blank) is 7 days; we will probably make it configurable later.
